About Mike Sheardown

I am a British landscape painter, working in both oils and watercolour.

I relocated to the far West of Cornwall around 3 years ago, leaving behind the stress of the city to lead a more simple life, and to pursue my dream of earning a living as an artist.

My paintings are inspired by the wild weather and amazing light effects I experience, whilst walking the cliff tops with my two collies, Jack and Tess.
I try to convey the way in which a particular scene makes me feel, rather than simply reproducing an accurate rendition of the landscape itself.
